Alex here and I'm happy to be doing this month's update. May is a special time for Two19 as we celebrate two years since we released Kingless to the world on Kickstarter.
In true game developer fashion, we celebrated by introducing some new optional rules to let you play Kingless in different ways. They were a blast to make and test with lots of laughs while we ensured they affected the game as intended. We will be going over some of our favourites later but in the meantime, I can't recommend you try them enough.
You can read all about it and get the optional rules in digital and print-friendly formats from our Birthday Post:
I'm also happy to say that the development for Festival of Explosions is well underway with extensive bouts of testing letting us get to grips with some of the more ambitious card combos in the current build. We are finding that the new actions and cards are adding more depth of strategy to the game and allowing players to vie over influence in more interesting ways.
With the mechanics of FoE taking shape, we have more time to work on the story of each of the characters and of the Hammer and Crown itself. The observant among you will have already noticed one new detail but we are working on some really exciting ways to share more of this with you soon.
Just a heads up, we are planning something big towards the end of the year and I'm looking forward to sharing more details with you later.
